The PVC transition socket has an adhesive socket on one side into which a PVC pipe can be glued and on the other side an internal thread into which threaded fittings with a corresponding external thread can be screwed. In this way, pipes made of different materials can be easily combined.

Introduction and general information PVC-Reduziermuffe
PVC adhesive socket/PVC pipe socket with adhesive socket on both sides for PVC pipes and PVC fittings with corresponding adhesive socket. The PVC pipes are simply glued into the adhesive sockets. You will also need PVC adhesive for gluing . The PVC adhesive sleeve is the simplest and most frequently used connection option between two PVC pipes. This type of connection can no longer be separated. The edges of the adhesive sleeves are bevelled inwards to enable easy gluing. There is a web between the socket sides so that the pipes cannot be pushed through.

Frequently Asked Questions
PVC-U is a plastic that is free of plasticizers and heavy metals and is suitable for drinking water supply. It is included in the harmlessness list of the Federal Environment Agency. Many PVC-U fittings have already been tested and certified by the DVGW for drinking water suitability. Note, however, that various PVC fittings and valves are made of other materials that should not be used for drinking water supplies. These include e.g. B. Seals made of EPDM. Alternatively, you can use a PE pipe for drinking water pipes , which is certified for drinking water supply.
